HISTORY

The history of cold storage building has started in the 20-ties of XX century. It was the first place with an ammonia system as a freezing way. Technical & construction project (with installations) had been processed by Belgian company "B.Lebrun-Nimy". Building was given for application in 1930. During those times it was the biggest storage like this in Europe and the first one in Poland. This cold storage was assigned for growing needs of food-products import and export.

IGLOPORT Sp. z o.o. (Ltd.) in its present status exists since November 2001 and it covers all these activities:

1. storage services,
2. trans-shipment services,
3. mercantile activity: national and foreign,
4. export and forwarding of goods,
5. portioning out of frozen products,
6. rental services of office spaces,
7. national and foreign trade of food-products,
8. technical ice production for use of production and    preservation.

The firm is based at Polska street 20 in Gdynia in the center of Gdynia port, near the main tracks of train and motor-car transport.

Our cooling storage is 5 level high and has capacity
of 13 000 m2/12 000 ton.
Goods are kept in temperatures: < -28°C; +5°C> or higher (depending on clients requirements)
